An extensive structure-activity relationship investigation of pantetheinamides and their ability to inhibit Salmonella typhimurium.
We investigate the mechanisms of action of these compounds and their use with in vivo mouse models.

In Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, we replace an enzyme-vulnerable amide bond with a thiazole to produce potent antiplasmodial and antimalarial pantothenamide mimics. A collaboration between the Auclair lab @mcgill.ca and the Saliba lab at ANU.

In this paper, Jacob and Suzana from the Auclair lab investigate how Salmonella Typhimurium adapts to growing on itaconate, with detailed metabolic and genomic studies.
Many thanks to our collaborators at McGill and Concordia! (Details below) #chemsky

She appeared on CBC News Montreal as part of McGill's Chemistry Outreach program, demonstrating the wonders of science to kids (and a few adults.)
[We only have a video of the broadcast, but it's still worth a watch...!]
