pretty sure the guy i'm beefing with at work learned to read via the "three cue" method instead of phonics and that's the root of our disagreement (getting stressed out and guessing what i mean when i use big girl words)

the aws outage was a fucking load bearing task running with a retry policy / max duration greater than its scheduled interval, nothing guaranteeing mutual exclusion, and the ability to delete state related to concurrent runs. this was governing DNS on their single most critical service. astonishing
