HCI failure spotted in the wild-- if you call CVS while it's closed, the automated voice will no longer allow you to type numbers to answer yes/no questions. If you don't talk to the AI, it will hang up. Which means that you *have* to say the name of your prescription out loud in order to refill it.

Massively agree with everything Jason has to say here. Animation is a medium that's meant to be expressive and deeply weird.

Lit reviews as an academic in VR is so weird because there's just so, so much stuff that no one has bothered to look at yet. Like, either there is *no* published instance of a hint system for a VR training simulation, or I just literally cannot read.

Genuinely impressed by this phishing campaign. All of the links on the page go back to actual official sites, and it matched their design decently well. If it weren't for the fact that I can't drive, and therefore probably don't owe unpaid tolls, this might have gotten me: mass.gov-ybu.win/pay/

Just booked the flights for CHI and the time zones are so weird that one of my flights lands an hour *before* it takes off.

The Earth being round is very complicated.

Not one, but both of my LBW papers got accepted at CHI. Which is? How? What? More info as I get the documentation for them nice-looking enough to share OfficiallyTM but for now

I've started taking a sip of coffee while still wearing the headset every time I record a demo video in passthrough which, while incredibly inconvenient, feels METAL as FUCK.

Small vent: HR734 is obviously Awful for trans women, but it also disregards the existence of trans men? If "For the purposes of this subsection, sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth" should my mustache and I be competing in womens sports?
