2024 was the year of energy storage in TX. Project/technology costs dropped. Incredibly strong capacity growth. Increased participation in ERCOT ancillary services & RT market. Zero ERCOT conservation alerts (compared to 11 in 2023). Output records. Lower consumer costs & increased reliability.
2024 was a fantastic year for energy storage
Batteries reshaped the power grid in California and Texas, showing the rest of the country what's possible when the tech is allowed to flourish.

ERCOT generation for Oct 2024 was up nearly 11% compared to Oct 2023 & peak demand was up 1,300 MW. Electricity & AS costs were down. Solar generation in Oct 2024 was 84% greater than Oct 2023 & BESS capacity was up ~4,000 MW compared to Oct 2023. #txenergy #txsolar #txstorage ☀️🔋⚡️
