Like most migrants my previous home became too caustic and dangerous for my safety.
I grew mine in towers this year. I didn’t get as much as in ground, but the condition of the finale harvest was far superior. Does require more monitoring of water, takes longer to plant, but no hilling, no weeding, digging and oddly no bugs. Just water daily. Got maybe 40lbs per tower.

Trying to shave this fatso is like trying to shave a 1/2 filled ball. I never do a good job, but he’s still cute AF to me. We trimmed him because he has IBD, and it’s easier to deal with his loose poo this way. The other long hair has constant constipation if we leave her hair long. Yay sweaters!

Decided to try my hand at French cut green beans. Normally I just snap em, but I seem to be a bit bored with the same ole stuff. I’m drying tomatoes today, and decided to throw some different seasonings on them for a change up. If we don’t like them it’s chicken food over the winter.

A few nights ago my cats went crazy yowling in their cage. There was a large moth and they all wanted to catch it. Next morning Charlie nabbed it for pre breakfast. He was so proud of himself, but the girls didn’t appreciate his usurping their authority.

A few nights ago my cats went crazy yowling in their cage. There was a large moth and they all wanted to catch it. Next morning Charlie nabbed it for pre breakfast. He was so proud of himself, but the girls didn’t appreciate his usurping their authority.

I have about 50 chickens and 9 turkeys as pets. We also raise meat chickens and turkeys. Sometimes a meat turkey becomes a pet. They don’t have lengthy lives, but them fat babies are soooo loving and fun. My chickens range in age from a year to 15. The young ones are always so naughty.

They look like compact versions of my Evie. Even when there should be enough room to snuggle she makes sure to spread out to discourage any want to be snugglers. Yes, she is sleeping like that.

We took the two garage cats to the vet today for regular checkups. Fred needs to diet, and Barney could gain some weight. Fred weighs 18 1/2 pounds, and Barney weighs 7. I still think Fred brought Barney home as a kitten because he was planning to eat him. The 3 house cats get shots next week.
