I'm glad I replaced my 1980s acrylic dome skylights with clear glass. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to watch a large raptor land on my chimney & enjoy a "to go" meal.

It would be poetic justice if @booker.senate.gov continued his #filibuster for at least 20 hours 19 minutes, beating Strom Thurmond's record. Even the racists I grew up with thought he was racist...and that's not easy! Tune in and see if history is made.

My son is a junior at UNC Asheville and had his fall semester effectively shutdown by a generational storm (Hurricane Helene). He is now doing a semester abroad in Galway, Ireland...which is currently being battered by the strongest storm in at least 50 years. A school year to forget.

Thanksgiving is one of the few remaining "first w/o Aileen" events, so it's a bittersweet day. I am thankful for my family and friends who were here for me and the kids this year, physically and emotionally from afar. I hope y'all have a great day, no matter what you've planned or who you're with.

Can someone explain to me why #f1 would schedule the #LasVegasGP race to begin at 1am on the East Coast? It's certainly not convenient for 75% of US viewers. It's not great for European viewers either (5-7am). It is only ideal for DVRs.

Totally random attempted charge to one of my #USAA credit cards just now. Some site called "CCALLSPEC DOT COM TN" attempted to charge $0.65, but the fraud detection caught it.
No clue who this company is...regardless, a new card from USAA on its way now.

Back to back years in the USL Eastern Conference Finals, only this year the Charleston Battery fell a bit short to newcomers Rhode Island FC. The new ownership has done a helluva job rebuilding this storied franchise the last couple of years, and I have no doubt that will continue for years to come.
