Not that think the current GOP are classic nazis and Musk’s sieg heil was a genuine announcement (though it was an obvious and intentional move). It’s the slide into out in the open fascism that’s similar.

I think what challenges the comparison most is the supposed opposition party, the Democrats, getting ahead of the right by participating in a genocide before handing power back

Saw Mulholland Dr in 2001 at a bizarre, very Lynchian dinner and a movie place in Glens Falls, NY with my mom and psychotically Catholic stepfather. Also very formative.

Probably the movie that changed the most for me after a rewatch. It was my least favorite Lynch in high school, when I was like “what is all this wacky shit?”. Now that I’m older, wiser and realized, “oh no this is all so absolutely horrifying and sad”. Great movie.

Also, it’s probably coincidental but I’m blaming this one on the fires. Couldn’t leave the house due to emphysema, had to evacuate his house last week because of the Hollywood fires.
