Trump’s tax plan predictably places more of a burden on the lower and middle class while he also cuts as many federal aid programs for those same groups of people.

Hopefully our courts will come through on this one. We have to stop Trump and Musk from shutting down all our federal agencies

The attack on Medicare and Medicaid has begun.
Musk's latest power grab: your Medicare benefits.

Elon - you're looking in the wrong place. Private insurers in Medicare Advantage overcharged taxpayers by at least $83 billion in 2024 alone.

Keep it up!
Democrats have spent virtually every minute of the last 30 hours holding the Senate floor to fight back against Trump’s nomination of Russell Vought.

Russell Vought’s nomination is a threat to Social Security, Medicare, childcare, funding for school lunches, and so much more.

@aoc.bsky.social have you seen this letter the South Carolina AG sent the DSA’s South Carolina chapter? He’s threatening “serious consequences” for those that attend their upcoming meeting and legal resistance they take against the ICE raids.

Am I having a stroke or did Trump just talk about the US “owning” Gaza? And maybe sending US troops?

Congratulations to Trump on securing a $1.3 billion border security deal from Canada.... which was already negotiated in December 2024.

You are not alone. Trump and his supporters do not represent the majority of Americans and we have to stand together and show them that they cannot control us. Find local groups you can get involved with even if it’s just on a social basis so you don’t feel as isolated in the coming months

When Republicans say they want to dissolve a federal agency to send power back to the states it’s a blatant lie. The moment democratic states exercise that power in a way they don’t like new agencies will be created to ensure that all states only do what Trump and his administration allow.

Key votes are scheduled this week for some of Trump’s most dangerous nominees: Russell Vought, Robert Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard. No matter where you live, it’s important for your senators to hear from you ASAP — and we’ve made it easy with options to call or email. 👇
Nix the Noms
Trump’s nominees aren’t just bad picks—they’re a direct threat to democracy and public safety. It's time to fight back.

This is great and we need a lot more of this. Democratic officials need to start holding sit downs, town halls, press events, and protests. Get people out of their homes and show them that they aren’t alone.
People have gathered outside USAID HQ for press event with Democratic Congressmen Beyer, Raskin, Connolly and Olzewski and Senator Van Hollen where they're addressing the building's mysterious shutdown today in the midst of the Trump admin dismantling the agency.

Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced H.R.86 which is a bill to abolish OSHA. Republicans have never cared about blue collar workers. They will let you die by the dozens if it means the top 1% can save a buck. If this bill is passed it will cause preventable workplace deaths.

It was heartbreaking watching Trudeau’s announcement earlier of their response to the tariffs earlier. Canada has had our backs for so long and now we have stabbed them in theirs. I hope that Canadians know that many of us are horrified at what we are doing to our closer ally.
So , I was born in Canada and spent the first 32 years of my life there ,I've been here for 30 . I've still got family and friends there and they are pissed . Everything was fine with both countries. This is unnecessary. Unfortunately our education system failed and this is the result .

If our country survives this we really need to devote some of the school curriculum to teaching kids about how our government actually works. I’ve learned more about our government in the past few years then I ever did in school and I think that’s a large part of how we got here.

@aoc.bsky.social I know you’ve said that there are things happening in the party behind closed doors but we really need more outward actions. Organize protests, hold town halls and meetings, spotlight individuals or groups fighting back. We desperately need a call to action.

Time to accept that we simply have a mad king. The guy slapping 25% tariffs on Canada's postage while calling for its annexation - and releasing scarce water into the Central Valley to fight already-contained fires in LA - isn't doing a bit or pursuing a secret, rational strategy
