Retired, and annoyed no one told me how great it is. Significant traveler and insignificant/novice woodworker
✈️🗺️ Not that you might be in the neighborhood, but if you do get there, stop in to Muddy Miser’s for lunch on the Muskingum River in Zanesville. Great “stuff” on the walls.

Travel is not always smooth. Customer service is not always there and ready to help. And countless hours of re-scheduling and cancelations are becoming the norm for long distance traveling. But I still love it and am always amazed at some travelers inability to cope. It’s a comedy special

If you like festivals, ya need to check this one out. In it’s 19th year, Nelsonville Music Festival. Here was Taj Mahal performing yesterday. Please don’t tell too many people about it, it’s small, friendly and unspoiled for 19 years. And the venue itself is stunning

A perfect day to visit the Hirshhorn museum in Washington DC and see the artwork and graffiti of the Brazilian twins Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo known as OSGEMEOS. It’s a shame the rest of DC doesn’t give off such beautiful vibes

If this can’t raise your spirits a bit…check your pulse. These are talented kids who give me some hope for the future. Art and talent will continue

I know I’m getting older but honestly on a nine hour flight there has to be better options than Key Largo and To Catch a Thief. A day full of Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Grace Kelly and Cary Grant…..might need to start downloading my own ✈️🗺️

🚨NEW: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is planning to fire Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff C.Q. Brown, a 4-Star General and 41-year veteran of the Air Force who flew over 130 hours in combat as a fighter pilot.

As I sit in my flat in Berlin watching coverage of the Munich Security Conference I realized the US position is being articulated by a drunk newsreader and a faux hillbilly. Can’t really make this shit up!!!!

6 of us just flew Easyjet RT Berlin/Paris. Our grandkids 7 & 9, and their parents. Paid extra to choose seats and selected six seats front row bulkhead. They save overhead bin for front row travelers. I was shocked how easy and pleasant an experience it was. I guess as usual last to know.

We explained some of the French Revolution to our 7 year old granddaughter today as we trekked to the Palace at Versaille. After viewing the hall of mirrors she said, “no wonder they wanted to kill the Queen and all the rich people”. Partial lesson learned I guess. Stunning place!

last stop today in Paris to see Notre Dame. It’s been cleansed to within an inch of its soul. You can see in one photo an original versus restored statue. Lots of art, statues, and antiquities gone or stored. Still a sight to see and perhaps when I return in 250 years it will look ok.
