Regret
is a time machine
to the past.

Worry
is a time machine
to the future.

Gratitude
is a time machine
to the present.

No one books
my travel for me.

I decide where
I want to go.

Prairie Warblers are among my very favorite birds. They show up mid-April in my Appalachia Ohio and their ethereal song always makes my heart skip a beat and take flight as they flit like little drops of sunlight through the canvas of spring green and redbud pink. #hopeisthethingwithfeathers

From a great turnout for an anti-Project 2025 protest in Athens to this incredible show by Yagody from Ukraine, today was full of resistance, hope, music and community … and we all needed all of it. 🇺🇦✌️🎶💪

Trying to run a nonprofit arts organization in the US right now is like a chaotic game of whack-a-mole or Frogger or maybe Ms Pacman which was always my favorite video game. Anyway. Fun (not) times.

“If S.B. 1 succeeds in Ohio, it will embolden politicians everywhere to kill higher education under the guise of ‘neutrality'. This is a warning: the fight for academic freedom isn’t just Ohio’s fight, it’s America’s fight.”

I don't know how much impact this one-day corporate boycott will actually have, BUT, I do believe that choosing to spend my $ today and everyday with smaller, locally-owned business will have an impact!

To erase trans people from Stonewall is to erase the Stonewall movement for LGBT justice. Period.
The National Park Service eliminated references to transgender people from its Stonewall National Monument web page, removing the “T” in references to LGBTQ+ on the official site for the Greenwich Village monument, which marks a milestone in the fight for gay rights.

This is disastrous for the nonprofit arts ecosystem. It's absolutely essential to support our local arts organizations if we want them to survive.
