i love you beginner artists. i love you even if you're trying to learn art in your 60s. sharing your art can be scary if you are new to art and learning, but don't ever let mean people stop you.

It can take years to write a story, several more to sell it, and then several more for it to be published. And once it is published, there’s sadly no guarantee the story will find its readers. So if you’re writing stories, you better make sure you’re writing stories that you enjoy.

i kind of feel like most people's version of being "honest but real" just kind of involves lambasting others tactlessly and i don't actually think this is any closer to being truly honest than couching your words in sugary language. it's just another, equally unhelpful extreme
