It represents a really unfortunate, really enormous, and overlooked barrier between humanists and other non-believers and Christians, so most religious people in the US.

Someone should make a convenient database about different belief systems and denominations and belief in eternal punishment.

At the bottom of it all is the afterlife.

If someone believes that committed non-believers, or people of other faits, are punished for eternity, can they build a genuinely loving relationship with them?

It seems unlikely, so that is an issue that must always be addressed.

It could mean any number of things. The time to get the answer is in the primary. Regardless, it will be interesting to see a statement, as the NJ and MD governors both came out opposing the CR.

It's been very clear all year that she was of this persuasion, so voting her in definitely was not a sign that voters wanted the shutdown to continue, and more likely the opposite (however wise), that's all.

The most prominent election was of someone who supported ending the shutdown. www.nbcnews.com/politics/pol...
Abigail Spanberger says Democrats' election wins aren't a green light to extend shutdown
The Democratic Virginia governor-elect said both parties should vote to open the government even if there's no deal to extend health care subsidies.

To be clear, a huge part of the message that was sent was to elect someone who supports voting yes on the CR, so this is not clear cut.
