Great pics Sonja.

Not red for me when "walking" in Spain in 2016 either 🙁

Taken from the Parc Natural de l'Albufera, south of Valencia. The park has no artificial light, amazing dark sky, so visibility was great (nearest light was from a passing cruise ship out at sea - heading up to Barcelona?).

I think the biggest beast we saw, was that slice of carrot cake in Abbotsford 🐷😂

Taken a few years ago now. Arran as seen from Ayr Beach (near River Doon). Notable for swans in the SEA - it's actually the freshwater River Doon estuary.

And I didn't even have to bribe them with breid to get them all to swim in a line 😂

2012 - a strapping 6'4" Scot on top of a mountain (having just climbed up there).

2024 - a not-so-strapping Scot on top of a wheelchair.

It can happen to any of us, at any time.

As tame as it sounds, Mallorca. Outside of the concreted tourist enclaves (which are actually about 1% of the island), it's an amazingly beautiful place. With equally friendly locals.

And it has mountains!

Ha. You jest 😂

But I actually planned one during my "walking for charity, walking stick days". By the time I got there, going DOWN steps was an issue. And as can't go 10ft without coming to a bridge (steps!), planned walk was abandoned.

So got pic of hotel receptionist with promo balloon instead.

I used to do the same. Bit of a problem now though. Fave cafe/bar was Sa Bota (down by the marina at Port d'Alcudia). Couldn't use it now though, as step up to entrance, then another step up to toilet (plus no room for wheelchair). But toilets in some hotels would be possible to use instead.

@shawlandsbikebus.bsky.social Great to see you guys over here too 🦋

I'm sure you'll love it (people arte WAY frindlier - and much more engaged).

Glasgow was F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G yesterday. But a wee bit sunny now and again 👍

Managed to take this at the Riverside Museum 📸

A wee bit of an introduction. First pic (Alcudia, taken around similar time - I'm the ridiculously tall guy); second pic, a wee bit shorter now that I'm permanently sitting down):

When I wrote the last message, I was away from home and didn't have the pic I wanted to share with you. Back home now (pic is of me on top of a mountain, near Tossals Verde refuge - back in walking days - 2012 I think):

A wee pic that you might just recognise @sonjaswisslife.bsky.social. No pics of the new bridge though (the best pic of the bridge is from near the museum, but at this time of year, in the afternoon, the low winter sun is directly in your eyes - so I'll go back on a sunny morning instead).

And very special thanks to the wonderful @registry.scot

For almost 4 years now, they have supported various fundraising projects of mine on a weekly basis. And without their support, some projects might never have happened in the first place.

This is really just a "welcome" post. A wee introduction.

But I'll let others say more (in this case, the wonderful FareShare):

This is really just a "welcome" post. An introduction.

My website has already been said to be too "commercial" for here.

It's not. But there's a good reason why it looks as it does.

But I'll leave others to say more (in this case, the wonderful FareShare):

Maidens?

Here's a wee pic go brighten up your evening - taken at the Doon estuary, looking at Arran, a few years back. No filter - the sky really was that colour 🦋
