Does Trump v. CASA preserve the Supreme Court's ability to issue universal injunctions? Is that what Kavanaugh is saying here? Under majority op., I'm not sure SCOTUS affirmation of a lower-court (plaintiff-limited) injunction affords any relief to nonparties, even considering collateral estoppel.

A fun aspect of my job is working with foundational documents in constitutional development as they make their way into Gillman, @mgraber1.bsky.social, and @kewhittington.bsky.social's Complete American Constitutionalism series.

Today: The House's Trial Memo from the Clinton Impeachment. Quaint!

Just came across this gem in the 2024 Republican Platform. Who's going to tell them?

I'm very happy to have successfully defended my dissertation this morning. After eight years at UT Austin as the first student to begin and then finish the JD/PhD in Gov. program, I'm done!

Four years ago I wrote a piece for the now-defunct A House Divided website about Vance & Mazars. This same title applies to recent events.

Our principal contribution is to offer a more fleshed-out definition of "judicial aggrandizement" and to begin explaining why it is an especially helpful concept to analyze the Supreme Court today.
