I was selected for my overall performance and for my synch rate with the EVAs! Not just anyone can be a pilot, you know! It's test after test and I passed every single one!

They're not just 'mechs'! A novice like you wouldn't understand. We aren't completely sure what the Angels are, but they keep trying to kill us. Pilots like me are the only thing keeping us safe from total annihilation. You're welcome!
