The death of an anagramatic pseudonym. Goodbye, Ian Cowsbell -- your works -- and you! -- have gone to that unrecoverable country from which no data or activity returns

Going to need a bigger cornucopia to hold this bounteous harvest

Had this lovely visitor to our porch this morning.

Painted this weirdly cute blob on Saturday. I think it's the reddish patch that almost makes it look like it's smiling... but is it really?

Ha ha, a bot that responds to mentions of "science fiction" with inane encouraging posts misattributes one of the most famous sf quotes of all time

A lot of things are bad. But some good things remain! Such as books. The mail brought me these in the last two days. I hadn't read anything by Kyle Winkler before, loving Enter the Peerless already (always fun to read a book where the narrator travels all around my locale). Black Brane soon!

If you see this, quote with your green art.

Some nice shiny reddish purple hollyhocks in our garden. They are surrounded by a fence because we discovered this year that groundhogs will eat tiny hollyhock leaves as they sprout.

We have this neat patch of daylilies that blooms a few weeks after the others in the area, but they all have double (sometimes triple) petals.

I have a lot of Michael Cisco books, but they're not enough! It's a good thing @clashbooks.bsky.social is putting out Black Brane soon.

This is probably the best road sign out there

Finished! It's called Ocean Commotion, and the artwork is by Don Moyer. Hardest puzzle I've put together but also the most fun. I'll also share a few closeups of my favorite sea monsters

Okay, progress is happening! Should speed up at this point. Filling in a lot of blanks, and my piles of eye pieces and mouth pieces are getting smaller. Random tentacles are still proving tricky. And there's a lot of water left

This is probably the hardest jigsaw puzzle I've ever worked on. The image is a horror vacui of sea monsters and waves by Don Moyer, all intricately and uniquely patterned... but the patterns are all eye-crossingly similar, and the pieces are very small. Will post progress as it occurs

This just came from @weirdpunkbooks.bsky.social, I'm going to dive in next! I love it when awesome books aren't available on amazon. Let's starve the cloud devourer of everything nutritious and leave only machine-generated word salad

Got up early, filled my favorite coffee cup. Once it's lighter I need to get out and finish shoveling the sidewalk (a very nice neighbor already did some of it)

Nice article -- I recognized the cover of that Throne of Bones because I have one here just a few feet away from where I am typing. An all time favorite! There's no way I can put this back on the shelf, I am going to reread it again starting right now
