It's good to default to compassion. Everybody is dealing with a lot. I just wish we (society) did a better job spreading information so people could make informed choices. There's so much noise to signal.

It really is wild that so few people talk about this aspect of the llm ai craze. Climate change is already hitting us in the face and we're just... gonna ignore that I guess...?

Like with uber, they strategically lose money during the early phase in order to get buy in. Even if the environmental cost goes down, the corps are gonna start charging you soon enough. Don't get reliant, eh?
