Mamdani didn't have shit. All he had was the fact that he WAS a politician. That he had a title. That's all he had, and he fucking USED IT.

He went on a hunger strike. He and a handful of other assembly members. He joined a lot of other people protesting too, but what made news, and what was ultimately credited with getting the taxi drivers relief, was that the assembly members defied leadership and joined the strike.

And before anyone tells me Mamdani hasn't done anything yet, I need you to look up what he did when he was nothing more than a NY assembly member to fight for the taxi drivers.

He had no power to do anything for them legislatively. He was just a guy on the assembly. No one knew him.
