Imagine if when the inevitable AI version of Chromebook comes out, someone is privately journaling through some dark and intense feelings, and the AI doesn't encourage them to act on those feelings, but instead calls the hospital and convinces them to put you in the ward for at least the night.

Something about capitalism that confuses me is marketing. Your whole thing is making a profit by making a sale, and yet, I hate ads. I'm aussie too, we can quickly introduce our culture through iconic ads. THAT'S how hard they're failing. Maybe I'm confused because there's nothing to understand

I'd love for studios to consider experimental one-off crossovers of shows in ways that deviate just a little bit from their originals. Like pair Dean from Supernatural with Sully from X-Files. Keep the cop-procedural formula, and have the audience guess if it's alien, human, or supernatural

Why does reddit send you notifications of posts from subreddits you're not subscribed to, directly to your inbox? Isn't that what r/all, r/explore, and "popular" are for? What is the inbox now, is it just Feed #2: the stuff you didn't ask for?

I get that life these days is very lonely. And I think we need love and community. But I find when it comes to the discourse around guys who embrace "traditional" (conservative) masculinity, they don't distinguish between wanting love, and being entitled to it. Very different things.

Also since Smosh played Yahtzee, I wonder how other older games would do. Euchre and backgammon come to mind, mostly because I've never played backgammon

I know I'm a bit late on Strange New Worlds but something that really sticks out to me in S2EP5 (and consistently across ST) is that Vulcan "Logic" is often masked emotion. They criticise claiming to hold others to standards that are imaginary. It's logic that lacks a philosophical basis.
