It's not that complicated.

It's insane that washrooms became a political tool to grow unfounded fear and hate.

Tactile architecture is a design approach that focuses on how the physical characteristics and textures of materials can affect the user experience.

Walt Disney Concert hall uses texture in the concrete for blind and low vision detection.

Electric scooter rentals can provide flexible transportation.

However, they are often left blocking sidewalks, making it difficult to navigate for wheelchairs, strollers, blind, and others.

Educating about leaving walkable paths open is important.

Ramps can be added to paths with stairs. These benefit wheelchairs, child strollers, moving equipment, and others.

In this case, a metal ramp is added to a rose garden park path in Los Angeles.

The original title was "The Psychology of Everyday Things." But bookstores often shelved it in the wrong section, sometimes under self-help, so it was renamed.

Even a book on design may miss considering and testing placement, context, and interpretation.

And be careful pouring 🫖

Seattle has hills of up to 20% incline and unpaved sections.

The University of Washington created a app that lets you map wheelchair, cane, walker routes to find the easiest, safest paths.

Photo taken on a walk. Words say:

"Are you sure, sweetheart,
That you want to be well?

Just so you're sure, & ready to be healed.

Cause wholeness is no trifling manner.

A lot of weight when you're well."

Appreciating a breathtaking space at a local college.

Amazing ocean overlook, glass panels, large open spaces, and sunlight.

Stumbled into finding a calming, beautiful open place to study and work.

A "nosey" cup lowers one side of the rim.

This makes it easier for some to drink, allowing their nose to clear the cup and placing closer to the face.

Useful in dysphagia, parkinson's, elderly or for motor control. This one is subtle but some cups drop one side a lot. Cheers!
