I was expecting some gnarly jet lag, but I went to sleep just after 9 pm local and woke up naturally just after 6 am. I think I may have hacked the system. Enjoy a sunrise over Bangkok.

We made it. We're in Southeast Asia. This is both the farthest east and the farthest west I've ever been.

I woke up craving a basic coffee cake for some reason. Joy has a bunch of recipes for coffee cakes, but the one I wanted happens to be the high altitude version. I don't usually worry about altitude directions since I'm only at 4500 ft, but it clearly doesn't hurt anything. They came out great. 😋

I gave Olivia a little plastic ball with a bell inside to play with. For a while I would find it in a corner of the room & put it back in the center for her, but I haven't seen it in a few days. So now she's knocking small objects onto the floor to play with; mandolin picks, a thumb drive, etc.

I grew up in an ethnically mixed household, so to my mind the natural side dishes to serve with a supermarket rotisserie chicken are sopa (rice), beans, tortillas and salsa. What does your family serve with a rotisserie chicken?

Here's our past Rotary president getting into the spirit of things. This is what we expected; spectacular sinkings and lots of laughs for charity. And we got plenty of that, plus some serious competitors with legit cardboard boats.

Yes we are adorable! Spouse's cardboard Barbie Paddle Board almost made it to the finish & would have been 3rd place. We expected 0 boats to finish, but 2 did & one also made it all the way back without sinking. #cardboardregatta #lakealmanor #ChesterRotary
