Don Broco was on fire! My daughter wanted to go up closer so I ended up in the pit for the last 3 or 4 songs. Such an amazing band. Can't wait until they come back to Toronto!

Found this massive pair discarded on the street. Time to get it repotted and happy again. I’ll figure out what these two plants are later…or does anyone know just by looking at them?

Catching up on some posts from our vacation. Dinner in Uptown Saint John at Cask and Kettle. Meal, drinks, and server were all excellent. Concluded with an older gentleman tripping and crashing into our table (fortunately he was unhurt), sending my second pint and a glass of water into my lap! 🥶

Had a rare opportunity to get in a play of Titan by Avalon Hill. We used my friends custom Masterboard. The second image shows my Bear Paw legion foolishly attacking my opponents Flaming Eye legion. Bear Paw legion got crushed. RIP.

Was walking on the Toronto Islands today and went past this. Thought of your game. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Yet another short intro game of Railways of the Lost Atlas. It's a fun game to teach on this map but I need to move on to the long game now.

Big pot of Kimchi Stew for lunches this week for the kids and I. This is the one recipe that I have made most of all the things we cook at home.

Age of Steam: Scotland
First play. There was some confusion about how to set it up but we used the rule of common sense and it seemed to work well.
Definitely my favourite 2 player map so far. The entire game was tight but especially the first few turns there was a real possibility of bankruptcy.

Finally got in another play of Railways of the Lost Atlas. 4 players, short game again. Teaching 3 players that had no experience with 18XX but have played lots of Boardgames. Went really well. Came in 3rd 😖
This group is wondering when they can play the long game!

Where to next?

Revisiting Megaman 2. Finished this one when I was a kid and remember loving it. So far it’s great. I love how the various challenges in each level can by passed easily by having the tool unlocked by another level. Woodman was impossible for me before Metalman.

Played a tiny trial game of The Old World over the weekend. Daemons of Chaos vs Beastmen. Really nice to see WHFB back in a way that seems to be sparking lots of people's interest.

I've been enjoying this one quite a bit with the added benefit of the price being $10 less than the Reifel.

Continuing my exploration of Railways of the Lost Atlas, four of us played a variable set up short game on TTS. The implementation is really slick. Interacting with the game elements takes some getting used to though. It's an amazing tool for when you can't be at the same table.

Next play of Railways of the Lost Atlas by @asterisk-games.bsky.social tonight. 4 player short introductory game. Playing with a group of people who all haven't played any 18XX games makes it a bit of a slog but everyone is really enjoying it. Lots of mistakes and misplays though!

Struggled through the two player micro game of Railways of the Lost Atlas. I have almost no experience with the 18XX so I can't speak to how much of a deviation this is from that system. I can say that even at the micro level there is a lot going on in this game. Time for another play.
