As a rule, I kind of hate Bsky’s constant complaining about NYT. Saying that, I opened up my first article for the day and I ran into the same “winning streak” phrase NYT has been using for the 3rd time, and I have to wonder what the fuck is causing them to run that “Trumpian Ubermensch” angle.

Alright, here's a complete mainline Final Fantasy tier list! While I still have a lot more to do, I've been playing XI for the past two months, and I've gotten to the point where I think I can rate it, which means I've officially played all the mainline games. Parameters and caveats below:

Pokemon People:

I've got a small discovery I've made. Examining the Internal Index, I'm almost 100% positive that Zangoose was originally created as an evolution for Zigzagoon, before they changed their mind. Their palettes don't work with each other, but otherwise I can kind of see it:

Pokémon people: I’m almost positive this guy (named Bii in the earliest sprite list) has to be an early design for Volbeat. The Pokémon all around it in the Index had their names trademarked in January 2001, very early.
