Figured I'd do a first post here

Here's my OO scale model of Askham Hall in its 1971 Whitehaven Harbour condition.

Built from a RailwayMania body kit on a Hornby W4 chassis.
Fitted with brass plates by Light Railway Stores

Hunslet 3595 "Silverband" got an outing today as part of Threlkeld Quarry Railway's 15 year celebration

It's my first time seeing it running, and it's absolutely amazing

Alternate universe where Carbon was sent up to Ladysmith instead of King

TO ANYBODY WHO HAS A SPARE ANDREW BARCLAY BODY

If you've got a spare Andrew Barclay body and are willing to part from it, I want to buy it from you

I'm in need of 2, of which can be any of the 3 shown, the condition of which may not matter

DM me and we can work out specifics

That's 3/4 seen of DRS' surviving 57s

All I've got to see now is Pride of Cheshire

They're scheming about shit

2 of my model show pickups from today. The yellow one was £10 whilst the blue was £20.

Both now run super smoothly

Rivaling Respite, Repulse and Penny the Pendilino for best name for an engine

37884 "Cepheus" tows 769431 up north to Bonnyton Depot, Kilmarnock for a bodywork exam

Apparently it started its journey around 12 days ago, but failed at Carnforth

Last year, I built this little display pad for Askham Hall

Recently I found it again so I've decided to make a few more

The 2 new display pads are the Ladysmith Washery throat and a Whitehaven Harbour crossing

The machinations of experimenting on my amalgamation have come to fruition

I call him Jimmy! Cause he's a baby PECO James kit

Cut down from a PECO James kit and using parts from a GEM Vari, a Hornby W4 and using other scratchbuilt parts

Ah, Ha, Ha, Ha, Stayin' Alive, Stayin' Alive!
That’s right folks, several of our upcoming loco projects will be fitted with a stay-alive capacitor (such as the SECR O1 and Stirling Single). We have even managed to squeeze one into our upcoming AB Fireless.

Fuming that I didn't do a before picture, cause the glowup here is insane

Guy came with a bright orange body, grey everywhere else and no chassis

He's not quite done, but I'm rather happy with the result so far

An engine best served cold..

Following my Askham Hall post, I thought it best to show off Revenge.

It's an EFE Rail J94, fitted with an RT Models giesl and Light Railway Stores plates

It's based on its 1970s condition at Ladysmith Washery, Whitehaven
