Even in little ways, like saying "I'm sorry" when it makes a mistake. That is not true! Do not lie to me, robot!

yeah this is a thing I've felt about recently is that like, I don't necessarily have a problem with the machine doing stochastic reasoning or whatever, but it is actively programmed to *pretend to be a person* and that is dishonest.

8/ Unfortunately, “Cyberselfish“ predicted the future but did not sell well.

Borsook's writing career hit the rocks as tech fortunes skyrocketed astronomically in the 2000s. She is now elderly, disabled and struggling to survive as the rest of the world finds out what she knew a long time ago.

First big gripe: I had removed a bunch of default apps and left some nice gaps around my Home Screen pages. But downloading apps from the App Store just filled those all right up! I would have liked them to appear after all my apps and pages or something. Or even just go into App Library only.

To avoid looking at my old phone to figure out what apps I want to install, I went into the App Store and tapped my profile pic > Apps > My Apps, then went down the list tapping the download button on the apps I know I'll use. It's barely 1 in 4 so far!

I also discovered that you can now put multiple Siri Suggestions widgets on one page, and they will avoid duplicating apps! This may not be new in iOS 26; it may have been a year (or even two?) since the last time I tried it.

I may see what it's like to make my home screen ALL Siri Suggestions!

So far I've banished a bunch of default apps to the App Library: press & hold > Remove App > Remove from Home Screen
