and they deserve respect and a place in this country. But also the only reason we rely on foreign help is that we make it very difficult for native born people to access medical and nursing school. There are long waitlists for nursing school and limited spots for medical school. Fix the pipeline

It won’t matter to the school until it hurts their brands. Until families stop sending their kids there or applying. Until employers stop recruiting from the school. There’s no reason for them not to capitulate when there’s no consequences for doing so

Has he forgotten the history of this country? Andrew Jackson and American harm of native Americans. The klan and mass lynchings and terror until the late 1970s. It’s not as if the U.S. has been exempt from any of the ills that other countries face

If they win then, they’ll have to actually fulfill their promises on economic issues. they can’t serve corporate masters and the people

It’s not just the president. Congress and the judicial branch are supposed to be checks on the power of the executive but the framers never imagined that they too would be “evil”. If he’s evil, the rot goes deep because neither other branch has checked him

And nursing schools, midwifery schools and doulas. Where’s the workforce development? Colleges, states and the federal government have failed.

why is that? There are plenty of Americans that want to be doctors and nurses? how long are the waitlists for American nursing programs? How many apply to medical school but can’t get in, and not because they’re not qualified, but there aren’t enough spaces? What are we going to do to change this
