Aside from when I starved it of sleep and it malfunctioned, my brain is pretty fucking dope and I love learning new things and new skills and figuring things out. I like puzzles and problem solving. And it makes me sad that apparently the average person just... Doesn't??

I think the thing that is wild to me is that it's clearly being used as a way to just not use your brain and ???? Idk about y'all but I LIKE using my brain? Yes the ADHD makes certain exec function hard but I ENJOY using it???

Unfortunately, the number of horrific and unacceptable situations happening at cons and in their communities far exceeds our capabilities to resolve or even acknowledge, so CSSN does not offer personal crisis intervention. But you can help someone by learning to Believe It like NARUTTO!

Now, if you're looking to help people individually, rather than being someone who says they're "safe" for people to go to at cons, study up on peer-to-peer crisis intervention! We'll have a more detailed resource on our website soon but here's Cliff Notes from an old post: bsky.app/profile/cosp...

There's only so much we can do, and though we have the privilege of being white, we're still marginalized women—men in power may not think what we have to say is valuable. If they hear these issues from multiple people, valued customers who attend regularly, it's a gentler calling in.

That kind of contribution is immensely powerful because unfortunately, due to our position in the community, we tend not to be heard by higher ups. But if you attend the con, approach with assuming ignorance instead of malice, and let them know you're telling them because you care, they might listen
