I remember seeing one of these guys in the grass at the park and I legit thought I was tripping, I'd never seen something like that before. Photographing it was so hard. I love em.
You're looking at three golden tortoise beetles (Charidotella sexpunctata). They're native to the Americas, generally the east coast of North America all the way down to Argentina.
