It would make it harder to keep deporting people, they could then use the return of the planes as leverage. The US is acting like a hostile neighbour, so why should Mexico allow US military planes to land on their soil without consequences.

He just removed Fauci's security detail and said he wouldn't feel bad if anything happened to him, which I think is a clear indication that Donald Trump has ill will towards the man.
