Enjoyed the visit onboard Ambassador’s Renaissance last week - very similar to its other ships, and the real surprise is the size of its inside cabins, you could technically call them Junior Suites because they are so large.

Mr O'Leary has thrown his toys out the pram again with Spain - this time announcing the closure of Asturias and reducing the summer schedule in 2026 to Regional Spain by 1.2m seats (roughly 10%)

Excellent day in Belfast with Oceania Cruises on their lovely Vista - great food, great onboard leisure and wellbeing facilities and like other smaller ships, it never feels overcrowded.

Wizz have tried this before and failed, because on Spanish/Italian/French/Portuguese routes from the UK the consumers have a choice with far more reliable and ethical airlines… Is repeating yourself over over and over not insanity?

The last few days on Explora I has been excellent, a real surprise! I really enjoyed Bari, Zadar and Rovinj - all interesting ports (Rovinj is a great place for a holiday), and I’ll write up everything in our Journal over the next few weeks.

First night onboard Explora 1 - really impressed. Food is excellent, and there is a huge amount of choice for a ship carrying 900 passengers, entertainment fun for the evening and a super comfortable bed.

Bari is certainly lovely, a different city break destination especially out of season. Especially with the weather - warm but breezy could be the description!

The F1 movie is predictable and full of cliches, a sort of cross between Top Gun and Drive to Survive - but is fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously.

The Lenkerhof hotel has a restaurant on the other side of the valley - a popular ski spot, where we had the most amazing simple meal! Plus a lovely sunset.
