I'm sorry, how big are your carrots?

Well, 250g, but still... Unreasonable.

For once, I’ve got a Halloween costume. Like all the best costumes, it requires an explanation and for me to show you a picture on my phone.

It’s a life-size recreation of this tiny painted vampire that’s in my flat.

Remains immensely frustrating that many people have decided that social media/the internet is a grave threat for the youth, but are seemingly unable to recognise that older people’s minds are getting absolutely fried by it!

UK politics is basically all quote tweets, but it’s a young people problem

Visited a game shop in Cornwall which appeared to be selling the IKEA aliens for a bit of a markup.

Fair enough. The nearest IKEA is like 2 hrs away

On further inspection, however, these look like IKEA alien dupes! There’s exposed stitching and the proportions are off! Don’t be fooled, Cornwall!!

On holiday at the minute, and got this notification on my phone that I fully have never seen before… 😬

Nice to have Rider that is somewhat easily accessible in the UK, but still feel the 24hr looping livestream is a weird compromise where nobody is truly happy.

Like, you can’t tell me you’d make a subtitle like the below if you knew that viewers couldn’t pause or rewind the video.

Don’t get me wrong; I think HK is great and excited to play Silksong in 2-3 years. But going through the whole shebang right at this moment will turn me into the biggest hater, so opting out.

So, I’ve been thinking about this mural a lot lately.

It commemorates the 1936 Battle of Cable Street, when the local Jewish community, Anarchists and labourers halted the march of the British Union of Fascists. There were about 3,000 dash to-(conservatively) 100,000 counter protestors.

Never thought I’d be nostalgic for corporate rainbow-washing during Pride, but turns out it *was*better than nothing (or even actual hostility).

Come back, incredibly confusing all-white Pride Skittles from 2017! All is forgiven.

Looks lame. I’m going to be too busy playing on my new PS3

They’ve *finally* de-Andrewfied the ‘Duke of York’ pub on Charlotte Street.

Genuinely shocked it took this long.

I’ve made this recipe for kottu roti from Meera Sodha’s ‘Fresh India’ many times over the past few years, and every time I’m reminded that I marked the page with a post-it on which I was planning builds for each character in ‘Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep’

I know this probably isn’t the right takeaway to be having about a properly tragic news story, but this is the first time I’ve seen “Unalive” appear in a quote on the BBC News site.

The vibe in my head for the past week or so has been "Everything is terrible," so that fact that this cool T-shirt bought at the Crab Museum can be kept is, genuinely, a small mercy.

Hmm. If I were the BBC, I would maybe not have on the side of my building something which could be construed as protecting a historic paedophile.

I would maybe think of the optics of that for a second.

Maybe that's just me being kooky. 🤪

It's not perfect, and parts of it are pretty incoherent, but it got my brain firing in a similar way to '73 Yards' earlier in the series.

Pictured below are the notes I started scribbling when I rewatched '73 Yards' soon after airing.

Apparently, Reese’s are determined to annoy me personally with horrendous puns every year.

One is from 2024, one is from today, neither work!

Very funny to me that the current 'Should Doctor Who be cancelled/put on hiatus' thread on GallifreyBase (of which the latest post was... 12 minutes ago as of time of writing) began in Sep 2016. We're no closer to working this out!

Two possible outcomes of this:

i). Stephen Graham turns up as a delivery customer in 'Death Stranding 3'

ii). Kojima googles 'Andrew Tate' after watching Eps 2 and 3, and goes full incel

So, as far as I can tell, each chunk of the ongoing 'modern day' plot of 'Assassin's Creed Shadows' is unlocked every 2-3 tiers of the battle pass, which you progress along by completing the four weekly Animus missions.

A story told solely through text docs based on a real-time timer?

"As WW2 ended with Japan surrending to the USA, I couldn't help but wonder: maybe it was time for me to surrender to my desire for sex with men?"

I quite like ‘Design x Stories’ - a fluffy NHK World show about Japanese design.

The last ep was about ‘shared spaces’, and visited an architects firm with a ‘town square’, a library… and an exposed toilet.

I feel the smiley host did not suitably push back on whether it was a fetish thing or not.

I saw it at the BFI IMAX on a solo after-work cinema trip, and it was very funny that a lot of the conversation around me was people explaining Gundam timelines to their first-timer friends.

“And they were Mavs”

Have now seen ‘GQuuuuuuX - Beginning’.

Enjoyed it, and excited to see where the show goes.

(But, like, why did the Gundam look like that?)

Worked out what the FKA Twigs song ‘Childlike Things’ sounds like to me, and it’s the theme song to ‘The Great British Menu’.

(TBH, I’m not a huge fan of either, but only one has North West speaking Japanese - truly fatal)
