Ashleigh is a reclusive Pacific Northwest author with the charm of a chloroform-laced handkerchief and the bite of a poisoned quill. I don’t tell the whole story—I write tales where love gets messy and murder never wipes its feet. ashleighwritesbooks.com
Timely. I just began a replay of BG3. It's been so long that I'm having difficulty remembering how to get out of the fraking tutorial!

One thing about known liars. You know they will always lie.

Kid grows up to be one as well, College of Glamour. In-game, she’s now Level 6 and has multi-classed into Warlock Pact of the Book (and is on an entirely different world and feeling more than a little lost.)

Mom’s usual persona is Moon elf, so kid has been taught to be half elf as that’s what folk would expect. Stays that way most of the time but has accidents, like when one ear gets too long or too round…or the eyes don’t match. Both parents are Bards, Mom College of Whispers, Dad College of Lore.

Both, technically, though her father is from Luskan originally. The family lives in the High Forest near the Dancing Falls, but are currently on a journey to the Spine of the World. PC is 8 at this point & it’s the first time she’s ever seen Dad’s Uthgardt persona (Tree Ghost), normally he’s “human”

That I spent most of the first half of the year writing a series of novellas set during this period due to the current enactment of Judenfrei & judenrein couldn’t possibly have made the parallels more clear to me. That I have both Jewish & Roma ancestry (distant) & am a queer woman? Even moreso.

So I noticed. I'm looking forward (with more than a little trepidation) to the forthcoming release for 5th edition in November to see what WotC does with it next. I was looking up a refernce for one of my PC's parents (backstory issue) and you name popped in search results so I went digging.

Wow, I’ve never heard it articulated before as the freedom to read. That’s what I want! When I disagree with a position but want to know more, I go to a library. When I want to understand something I go to a library.

I want the freedom to read!

If they do Dear Mr President, my playlist would be complete! I swear, it’s come up in my random rotation every day for the past six months (with Pink.)

Would love to be able to read it, but paywall ...
Can pretty much guess the content, however.
And yes, still trying to assassinate MLK all over again, and again.

Sing me another song of your people, Senator. It's not like no one told you about this before. Or before that. Or befoe then. Or ... checks the number of volumes people have told her ...

I'll have to go read! Miss seeing your posts since I departed Facebook, but as much as I miss the people, I couldn't take the rest of Meta.
