We live in the richest country in the history of the world. No one should go hungry.

But food insecurity is on the rise in every single state.

And the Republican budget bill would make this situation far worse.

Here’s what food banks are warning will happen if it passes ⬇️

This weekend going to be with my super conservative in-laws and already anxious about it. I avoid politics whenever possible but I also will not tolerate hateful talk. Wish me luck

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Today we had some wins. While Florida still voted republican, the margins were extremely smaller than they have been, Wisconsin flipped a seat and Cory Booker fought for us all by breaking record for longest speech on Senate floor. First time in a while I felt hopeful. More work to do folks!

Nothing profound to say just that today was a Monday and I’m so exhausted. I don’t know how we keep moving forward with everything as if the US is not falling apart all around us. I’m just tired and scared of what next day, next week or next year will bring if we don’t find a way to fix things.

I stand with the Massachusetts educators suing the Trump administration to stop the dismantling of the Department of Education.

This is a fight for an America where it's not just rich kids who get a quality education—but every kid.
Trump Administration Is Sued Over Push to Dismantle Education Department
The lawsuit accuses the government of dismantling the department by executive fiat without the required approval of Congress.

Federal judge orders Colorado district to return banned books to school libraries
The order prohibits the school board from removing books “because the district disagrees with the views expressed therein or merely to further their preferred political or religious orthodoxy.”

The United States of America is the only major country on earth that does not guarantee health care as a human right.

The result: We rank dead last among wealthy nations in life expectancy.

We must end that international embarrassment.

Yes. We need Medicare for All.

I asked RFK Jr. a simple question: will he encourage parents to vaccinate their kids against measles — yes or no?

I was filling out paperwork today for my daughter and it was amazing and inclusive. It asked about parents not mother and father, it listed different pronouns, gender identities etc. How is this hurting anyone?!? It made me with my nontraditional family feel valued.
