Grumpy, fat, short bloke • Acts when requested, sings if required, dances with rejection
I hope A Question of Attribution - Alan Bennett's play about Anthony Blunt - gets re-shown on TV again following the death of the GREAT Prunella Scales, because, yes, headlines will justly focus on her Fawlty 'T work (genius), but just watch it - its an UNCANNILY precise and inhabited performance

Inspired by @reviewofdeath.bsky.social's upcoming review, I thought I would be brave, sit down, and work my way through all 12! episodes of 60s Doctor Who's most ambitious, sprawling and epic story: The Daleks' Master Plan

(Loose Cannon Productions, Graham Strong, David Holman, et al., take a bow)

My first ever day on a film set I had a one on one scene with Robert Redford. The movie was Spy Game: he was charming and kind and gallant. And beautiful. America… poor crisis ridden America- you’ve lost a true old fashioned icon.
Here’s a sketch of him from the film.

Fascinated to see how High Noon translates on the stage

Also, cowardly casting Billy Crudup and Denise Gough who are a mere 11 years different in age, when originally Gary Cooper was 51 and Grace Kelly was 22(!)…

Vivien Leigh won the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical in 1963 for Tovarich (her only nomination). She played an exiled Russian aristocrat disguised as a maid in 1920s Paris.

"Wilkes Barre, PA" was the show's big showstopper: the infatuated son teaches the maid how to dance the Charleston.
