I assume you're coming to the centre of the universe (Kāpiti), so Olde Beach - either Paekākāriki or Waikanae Beach outlets are acceptable.

Also Blackwood Bakes in Ōtaki, Paraparaumu Beach and Paraparaumu.

Yeah my in laws are in Brisbane and my father in Sydney, both cities with excellent public transport systems. They have a much greater populations than any NZ city but credit card fare payments are basic shit we should have had years ago.

Also 40 years since Huey Lewis sung "Don't need a credit card to ride this train" and we're still waiting for the national ticketing system to let us buy train tickets on our cards.

If you're looking for a spectacular dinner, I highly recommend it - well worth the 45 min drive out from Wellington. The six course non-alcoholic beverage match was pretty special too.

If this was written about me I would absolutely frame it and put it up on the wall. Beautiful work.

Actually I just looked it up and I got an mmr shot in 2019 so it's been the case for even longer - I thought I'd had a second as a teen but wasn't sure and no record so my GP did it as part of a routine checkup.

That's been the rule for a long time (source - when I worked at a DHB on vaccines in 2021 it was definitely the case then). If you aren't sure you've had two doses, go get another ASAP - even if you have had two doses already, getting another won't do any harm, so no reason not to.

And now I've realised that too 🤯

There's another book that includes a mention of my great grandfather as being involved in the Red Feds - we aren't sure if that's true (anyone who would know is long dead) but we know he knew them and was later involved with many in the early days of the Labour Party.
