Um so this is happening…

I dunno, pretty sure an offensive line protecting its quarterback is not supposed to look like this.... #Patriots [random sportsball post, sorry]
he still made a perfect throw to the receiver.

fucking hell.
I've looked. it is there. link is real.
absolute bullshit.

What is this picture from? any guesses? A YouTuber went to Dubai to check it out. But less to enjoy the gold leaf chocolate and pastries, and more to actually find the workforce. This is one building where people from India, Pakistan, Thailand, and other countries are kept - poor. 7/

#Melissa remains a strong hurricane with winds around 105 mph, and a central pressure of 964 mb. The storm is better organized symmetrically, but doesn't have a great visible eye.

Bermuda is the little blip thing in right upper side. Melissa will pass by during the night hours. How close, tbd.

BTW here's how #Melissa looks now. nautilus shaped but large and spinning strongly. Winds @ 100 mph, pressure 970 mb. See how far the bands extend, showing the storm is still working a good amount of energy. Right over the Bahamas lashing them tonight.

ooo it's tightening up a bit, that's possibly intensifying...
happy to be back over water. [I just find this stuff very interesting]
October 29, 2025 at 2:33 AM
Last night vs today - clearly it's a bit more disorganized but also, it puts into perspective how classic last night's formation was.

more obvious on IR, this is lower level:

#Melissa is now barely north of Jamaica moving on the water again. Can you see the eye emerging? it is at 921 mb, which is a very strong hurricane still. I am extremely curious to see what it does the next few hours before reaching Cuba.

Another way to see this storm is by where the ships are not:

Here's an image. the green is lightning btw, indicative of t-storms and intensive moisture input. Can barely tell in a still but if you look w of FL you see a distinct gap, that's where the wind divides to left or right. very interesting.

been on the road the last few, just got home to check out GOES animations and hop on weather lives... I have never seen a hurricane this perfectly formed... doesn't do it justice but huge, perfect circle eye. usually they are a bit wobbly. estimate central pressure 905...
October 28, 2025 at 1:52 AM
and this is him on day 22.
he's cooked. the storm he didn't film?
50 knots.
but here at least he is only a few miles out from land, and a place to tie up... once it's safe to do that.
October 23, 2025 at 6:16 AM
screen shots as examples, keep in mind he has 12+ hour stretches of this and even when it was sunny the seas were still high (pic 1)
October 23, 2025 at 6:11 AM
oooh sounds fun! what's this man's nationality, ethnicity, and religion?
October 19, 2025 at 9:28 AM
saw this, wanted to see the original article...

"Of the 64 countries in this category, about half have Christian symbols (48%) and about a third include Islamic religious symbols (33%)."

The style of buildings I see all around me and forget to marvel at sometimes. The white buildings are REAL. Tried some different angles and looks.

Other photos I enjoyed taking today:
Added a lot of alt text to explain each, but of note, the two small stones are brothers a few years apart. A baby and an older brother (who had already passed). Both were named Samuel.
