The American electorate never really learned lessons from the George W. Bush “I’m the decider” Unitary Executive concept pushed onto it by the Republican Party that led directly to the catastrophe that was the Iraq War.

The answer depends upon what is meant by “our own Stephen Miller”. If it means a loud and proud advocate for democracy the way Miller loudly and proudly advocates for fascism, then yes. If he means our own sniveling, evil little shit-weasel, then no.

My take is that the Democratic House Leader should not be reporting the news, but instead giving his frank analysis of what it all means for the state of our country. And that’s my most charitable interpretation of this pile of manure.

In 2016, voters were so aghast at the North Carolina bathroom bill (and the resulting boycotts of the state) that they fired their Republican governor and replaced him with a Democrat. Then Democrats immediately stopped messaging on trans issues, ceding the field to Republicans.
