I just caught Pippin and Thumbelina cuddling for the first time today!
Earlier this week, I got a male fancy mouse (Pippin) to keep my female deer mouse (Thumbie) company. She'd been showing signs of stress, and I thought a friend would help.

Also, Captain loves watching the babies. I'm hesitant to think it's purely intended, but it is adorable and I keep a close watch.

Oh no. Tommy, my male baby rescue mouse, just voluntarily crawled into my hand for the first time after eating, bruxed happily, then snuggled into my fingers for a nap. Peep the the way his head rests on his tiny paw.

They survived the night and are just so cute. I know they are considered pests, but I can't help but treasure every little life. I can only strive to be a good steward of my land and guardian of what exists here.

Well, our latest yard project disrupted a nest, so I'm rescuing some baby mice now. Hopefully they survive. One has their eyes open already and will nibble on oats, and I'm hoping the other is close behind. Both have eaten some formula and been pottied. Not looking forward to sleeplessness.

It is my hypothesis that half the time pregnant people throw up is actually because their sense of smell is heightened.
Anyway, at least the new bath/shower is very nice.

I'm sorry, but tile samples are a lie. See the tile leaned against the backsplash? The blue and white arrived then I ordered the other three. They look NOTHING alike. And then there's the image of the tile on Home Depot's website. Also not the same.

I started "I Was a Teenage Exocolonist" today. I've already teared up, and I'm absolutely hooked. Maybe I'll stream a playthrough because I will likely have to play this again... And again... And again....

The deck says it's time to lean on those around you when it comes to inspiration. While your friends don't need to know the entirety of the plan, perhaps the game will be stronger if you consult with them. Give up some of the control and let them leave a mark.

The deck suggests that you should watch out for imbalance within relationships. Someone is giving or taking more than is healthy (or they will soon). While networking is important (especially for you), so is being cautious of the power and effort dynamic to maintain those relationships well.
