You know it. And the thing was, the person who requested this had “they/them” in the email signature. I imagine that this didn’t feel good for them in anyway. I wasn’t the biggest jerk that I could’ve been, but I did decline to appear. Because f that.

The concern for me is that trust and treaty obligations stand only insofar as people respect them. And this admin has shown a willingness to disregard laws/ protocols/ norms. Indian Country is not safe.

My area of practice looks at intergenerational trauma and its impacts on contemporary health in urban AI/AN populations. We do a lot of translational research/ culturally grounded HP/DP interventions.
