1 has a lot of optional reading but no NPCs. Perhaps 2 & 3 also have a bunch of talking… in which case they fucked those up too lol

Zelda’s been a lost cause there for decades but Metroid Other M was widely hated… I just don’t get it. Prime 1 is a fav. Oddly I never played 2&3.

(Why take a break from video games? I have too many time consuming hobbies and figure the passive one that often demands 12-80 hours to finish should probably get out of the way of more creative things and or reading.)

Metroid‘s whole deal is isolation and solitude. That’s what the fandom is always chasing. Why add a talkative character with the hackiest comedy dialogue I’ve ever heard? A genuinely incomprehensible move. Was going to buy it on principle until this morning made it clear I’ll likely never play it.
