Delighted how similar this site is and that most of my favourite follows are here.
I’m trying to think what Albanese would have been into as a teen that the politicians a generation or two above him would have been trying to ban whilst bemoaning that young Tony was not at the rugby club social or the library.

Exactly right. Albanese pleading with them to take up a sport or learn a musical instrument, it was pitiful. I’d be doing what over half of them will do - shrug and flick on the PS5.

A lot of great new insights and knowledge for me as an interested layperson. Missile defence conjures up images of the facility buried in the drive-in in Spies Like Us and seems just as practical.

The current military situation does not justify surrendering these territories, and such concessions would almost certainly inflame a “stab-in-the-back” narrative within the military—undermining trust in Ukraine’s civilian leadership.
