Why would we do that when the Q70 runs just ten min away right now to the train? Like it’s either train to the terminals or just skip the project.

Diabolical. To compliment without naming him. He knew it would kill their egos.

I feel like if he focuses first on the fast part, it’ll put more pressure to be able to achieve free afterwards. It’s the right order of operations anyways since service will likely need to increase if buses become free. And it gives Hochul time to win reelection before having to circle back on this

I imagine legally the « source of truth » is paper. There’s digital versions but ultimately it goes back. Supposedly it has caused a lot of headaches with zoning

I think a lot of politicians didn’t want to lose a year of their terms so they were very quiet about it….

Single map. Currently most maps are broken up by the 5 boroughs

His solution would literally be just to flood the streets with cats and turn nyc into Istanbul. I’m here for it! Much better than being bribed to fly to Istanbul.

Dropped this… 👑

Why would the candidate who filed last as an independent appear last on the ballot….. so odd

Also, nothing in his definition refers to history

Correct and this is where I’d say the core of midtown like 30-50 between Lex and 8th. Not the extended area.

It’s not the historical core…. But I’d argue downtown has lost its significance relative to midtown.

Interesting. Not sure why some news outlets are reporting an extra 3 years…. This makes more sense…. Or maybe they omitted the fact that the extra 3 years required another election

CBD in NYC is below 60th in Man. I would say the inner city core would be Midtown. So I def think it exists….
November 4, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Yeah, that would make the most sense…

You still get additional spending. And even house races spend more in presidential years.
November 4, 2025 at 3:32 PM
Especially at a municipal level….
November 4, 2025 at 3:30 PM
That’s a good point. The whole public funding system could get overwhelmed trying to go up against presidential campaigns.
November 4, 2025 at 3:27 PM
I’m a little amazed rather than shorten his term by one year, they decided the next mayor could get an additional 3 years. That’s a huge bonus to potentially get a 7 year term without facing an election….

Didn’t bus stop consolidation already occur with the network redesigns? Maybe you can say it didn’t go far enough… but I feel the MTA probably feels it already culled and moved as much as it will for the next decade

It was a decent bet in the primary where name recognition means quite a bit. But after the primary loss, it should have be evident that you don’t continue with a dinosaur who was beat once already….

I spent all week planning. It was great. Now it’s 45 min to pick a film…. (Not if you went back to planning lol)

It looks like their comparing Park Ave during the day to a party district at night. Pretty sure LES looks pretty similar to this at night

To be fair to flushing, it’s only 4 lanes around the subway and there’s a massive transfer from bus to subway. The buses only idle cause it’s the origin which necessitates the need for a passing lane. Something like 10 line converge around this block so it gets very congested
