Cycling is not just leisure, for many of us it is the only "car" we have. We have the right to a safe commute, every day, all the time. Cycling is not some optional freak fun thing crazy people do once in a while for adrenalin and inhaling poisonous fumes.

Just survived two more assassination attempts by careless drivers. Despite having flashing lights front and back on the bicycle, high visibility, anticipating the dumbest moves of even dumber drivers. Yes, I do take this personally.

Conservative fear mongering, fishing in the pond of the extremes, parroting hateful narratives - all these just feed national populism in the long run. Cozying up will not work but make things worse instead.

I am no expert on Australia. But while arrivals dropped (probably not stopped), at what cost? Cost of human suffering as well as financial etc. My argument is that moving towards open borders, investing the same money and resources and effort in society and integration would be more beneficial.

I was. A and I am sure creativity will solve this wording stuff easily. No need to imitate the meat product in name, texture, or taste. Just make vegetarian/vegan food stand out as its own thing. It's better than what it tries to copy. The good places already do.
