Retired builder, 3D modeling enthusiast, especially likeness sculpting. I like to use my words to show my appreciation for people's art.
I chose the Triceratops for this week's study. I added the plant as a focal point after learning about how important composition is.

Marvelous Designer vs Zbrush Topology
November 19, 2023 at 3:49 AM
I've been studying a Marvelous Designer- Zbrush workflow that ensures good toplolgy and uv mapping. This is my first successful project. Textures were made with Outgang's new Texture Generator. Rendered in Blender

Finally, I can call this project done ✨!! I'm quite happy with the result, I improved a lot my likeness skills (and the hair too!) Artstation with more shots (and a little breakup of the hair) in the tweet below. Give him some love 🎶and toss a coin to your witcher🎶

After downloading a free model from 3D Scan Store, I used Zbrush to produce a Displacement map. I painted the texture on my head sculpt using spotlight, then used the inflate tool to get a more enhanced texture. See here for details youtu.be/_vi1QYDcbro?...

As an amateur digital sculptor, I'm working hard to break through to the next level. I like to share as I learn. Likeness sculpts require good references, but in order of importance, a solid knowledge of anatomy comes first. I just started using the Epic Pen software to help me become precise

I'm going to keep banging this drum until I fucking die.

People like to frame art as a nice thing to have, or a thing that makes a space pretty, but that ignores the fact that humans gain an understanding of the world around themselves through art.

Without art, life is pretty much useless.
You're not a "content creator"

You are an artist and craftsperson who creates things that someone can enjoy, benefit from, and have a better and fuller life through the process of enjoying your work

This morning I briefly flirted with getting AI to write a presentation for me... Words aren't the easiest. Speech and language had to be learned at 12 following brain injury.

Excitingly on tuesday I present images of my art at a gallery in Portsmouth.

I just want to hide away!

Hard surface exercise in Blender earlier this year. What else would you expect a carpenter to choose for subject material 😉
