I’ve been getting ads for the ‘House of Guinness’ but I don’t see the Toucan, is he going to be like a season 2 reveal?

I can accept bad books, but good books with one glaring flaw? That will keep me up all night, #booksky

Reading the 'Buffalo Hunter Hunter', it's incredible, but god damn it, what is it with writers and food? It's how I know I'll never make it, I can't dedicate a paragraph to intricate descriptions of old-fashioned cuisine #booksky

Can't decide if I'm experiencing mid-life crisis or just the normal, everyday crises we're currently enjoying

As a man in his 30s with a chaotic little white dog, I have never related to Superman more

I really should self-publish, I don’t want to test the bulwark of my opening chapters against internet virality but I do think they’d hold better
For the last 24 hours Twitter has been full of people mocking the everloving shit out of this “fantasy author” for trying to dunk on one of Hideo Kojima’s best creations: FAT MAN. If you’re wondering why everyone is making Orc City jokes, this is why:

Going to celebrate the 4th of July by considering becoming a New England separatist crank

Me trying too hard: it’s a long walk but the punchline is worth it, the effort is endearing, walks up to the line on annoying but stays firmly in funny

Anyone else trying too hard: Cringe

Insane that I have to work today of all days, my dog’s half birthday

Between the squirrels, chipmunks and baby rabbits, Kirby’s morning walk is less a walk and more a shooting gallery, every step he’s after another of Bambi’s friends

Just finished an audiobook and it ended with a warning that this recording is not to be used to train AI, gave me a chill, sucks that we’re here with the greedy plundering our very words

I bet Killer of Killers was as fun to make as it was to watch, you get to come up with viking kills, coordinate ninja fights, research World War II planes and then throw a Predator on top like a cherry, must have been a blast

Writing Tip #44

Start your writing session with your current WIP before you do some querying with your previous manuscript, that way you'll have some actual will to live while writing, before querying sucks it out of you

My dog, Kirby, keeps following me upstairs because he loves me, but I want him to stay downstairs because it’s cooler and I love him

Look I don’t believe in simulation theory, but whenever I go to Trader Joe’s everyone’s actions are perfectly optimized to get in my friggin way

I thought I was immune to devolving parasocial relationships to podcasters, but then I bought Age of Wonders 4 due to a throwaway joke on Behind the Bastards

Trump officials' showings at hearings today were disasters, but it doesn't make headlines bc the media's default assumption is that Rs are clownish rascals. But if Dems didn't know what was happening at their agencies or what habeas corpus is, it'd be front page news. This is a key media asymmetry.

I’ve heard it said that the true mark of a writer’s skill is their ability to surprise you, I enjoyed the pulpy, punk adventure’s of Richard Kadrey’s ‘Sandman Slim’ books, and wasn’t sure what to expect with 'The Grand Dark'

Polygon was amazing, I’m sad to see it go, Susana in particular was my favorite comic critic ever, I found so many good books thanks to her, it’s a real shame

Been playing Expedition 33, and that opening, the world building, the melancholy with the pageantry, 'the mater of factness' and yet the sorrow, due to personal, as well everything else going on, 2025 has felt like a doomed expedition into an already broken world, it all really hit me
