It's so demoralizing lol. I just try to salvage their choice as much as I can.

I wouldn't fault anyone for not wanting to though, since you'd probably lose a brain cell or two every time you'd have to read or engage with any of that kind of bs. But they aren't leaving, and simply letting them be has just made them grow bolder and place themselves in positions of power.
