I’m increasingly drawn to the conclusion that our greatest obstacle to collective action is an inability to empathise with those we disagree.

That, and the rampant tribalism these platforms seem to engender.

The rhetoric from all sides is increasingly toxic.

Calling people names will do nothing to diffuse it.

Maybe if everyone in the climate movement took a breath, put their personal beefs on hold, and focused on the problem we might have a better chance of solving it.
