His verdict (youtu.be/z_ygHjIboBY?...) that, in order to promote what you've written, you have to promote yourself, that nobody cares about your product if they don't "know" you, really opened my eyes. That's the opposite of what I want. I wanted all product, zero person. Thus, I fold.

Procopius, as translated by Anthony Kaldellis. Sometimes it's pure magic. I think this one is going to stick.

medium.com/@authorahf/o... I collected my thoughts here. I don't wish to denigrate what's popular, I wish to elevate what isn't. I think men should not resign, but try to match female readership in their enjoyment and curation of their respective corner within the scope of literature.

The Night Land (1912) by William Hope Hodgson, refreshed in A Story Retold (2011), a chivalric romance set in the perishing days of mankind on a barren earth suffocated in eternal night and beleaguered by terrifying horrors. Unbelievably ahead of its time, one of the most memorable books I've read.

Good on you and keep at it. Featuring AI slop devalues the entire rest of the product imho. The whole point is having made it yourself.

Every step was harder than the previous one, but begging for attention was too much to ask. Promotion is the worst. Even obscurity is preferable.
