He's known all along that he's in to deep. Getting re-elected saved all of their asses from jail. He's not letting go again...

Curtis Yarvin:

"Without a full-blown autocratic takeover, he believes, a backlash is sure to follow.... he quoted the words of Louis de Saint-Just, the French philosopher who championed the Reign of Terror: 'He who makes half a revolution digs his own grave.'"

Curtis Yarvin’s Plot Against America
The reactionary blogger’s call for a monarch to rule the country once seemed like a joke. Now the right is ready to bend the knee.

For Bostonians of a certain age, this is pure gold...

Absolutely. Using the NRA to flood the US with guns was one of Putin's most evilly successful strategies.

It will be the most amazing outcome ever if Trump's authoritarian takeover (coached by Putin) simply fails because Americans decided it couldn't happen. My biggest fear is that he tries to take the world down with him.

The frankly amazing constant since the gilded escalator has been that somehow he'll make tomorrow worse than today. Every time we think we've reached maximum stupidity and evil, he finds a way to top it.

You're lucky. My rescue boy clearly lived in a house with pee pads because every time I try to put out a throw rug he makes it his toilet. I've come to terms with it but WTF??

As a Bostonian I appreciate Brady for two decades of QB excellence. But as an announcer, he gives me a headache with his nonstop, too-detailed, complex, in-the-weeds analysis. Too much damned work trying to keep up with him. I'm just trying to enjoy a game here!

Sorry but that's just more proof that he'll try to blow it all up before that election happens. He may be stupid, but you know that he (along with his dictator coach Putin) understands, "He who makes half a revolution digs his own grave.'"

Spot on.... The inverse effect of this folly is that they can lay off all the people who built these companies because innovation has plateaued. Double whammy.

No lie detected except they ain't leaving. They know this necessary justice is coming and they're all going to jail, so they can't take a chance on losing in 2026 and 2028. (Same as 2024 BTW.) What remains to be seen is how they stop and/or rig the elections, but you can count on them trying.

"The next Trump supporter to forsake him will be the first."

Me, for the last decade now.

Hey we're massholes, it's what we do. 🤷‍♂️

I've said this all along... If someone had told me ANY of this would happen even ten years ago, I would have laughed in their face. We are truly in bizarro world.

Ironically, my part of Massachusetts, literally Podunk (look it up), went Trump by 29 points in 2024.

I go back to something I heard from a driver in Copenhagen many years ago. "The thing about Europeans is that we know we will all need help sometime, so we don't begrudge someone getting what they need. In America that's considered bad and a failure of that person." That changed me.
