The “might makes right” economic policy where major powers take over territories to gain their resources is so 18th and 19th century! This was the cause of a number of world wars….we know from past experience and from standpoint of morality that this is the opposite of moving forward.

Trust. We may not have realized how much our society, particularly democracy relies on the concept of trust. Trusting those we elect to “follow the rules”, to “ do the right thing”. What sits squarely between the far left and far right? On one side of an arc, moderates, on the other, anarchy.

A question recently raised is whether the initiation of multiple executive orders followed by lawsuits which go to the Supreme Court ultimately leads to the expansion of power of the executive branch. If so, our demonstrations of dissent need to go to all branches of government, not just congress.
